To keep good oral health during your pregnancy, if you have throw-up, don’t brush your teeth straight away as it can cause enamel loss and teeth sensitivity. Instead, rinse with a pinch of bicarb soda and water first. This neutralizes the acidity in the mouth.
If you are experiencing bleeding gums, be sure to keep brushing your teeth with a soft brush, don’t give up or stop! It’s the sore areas that require attention.
The best time to visit the dentist during your pregnancy is in the second trimester for any elective treatments.
